PARENT CHILD-DEVELOPMENT SERVICES

In partnership with Multnomah County Schools Uniting Neighborhoods (SUN), Latino Network provides culturally specific parent-child development services to secure early learning success for Latine parents and their children ages 0-5.

Latino Network’s parent educators implement the Parents as Teachers curriculum—a national evidence-based curriculum that promotes optimal early development by supporting and engaging parents and caregivers. This family-centered, strengths-based model provides annual health and developmental screenings, increases parent and caregiver understanding of:

  • Ways to support children socially and emotionally

  • Positive discipline techniques

  • How to connect with community resources

  • How to set and achieve family goals

Parent Educators offer home visits and weekly groups throughout the year to build a supportive community of parents.

  • Children under the age of 5 who live in Multnomah County

  • Multnomah County and the Oregon Equity Fund
