Veronica joined the Transformative Youth Opportunities team as the Youth Sexuality Education Coordinator in fall 2015. Since then she has changed positions to Health & Wellness Programs Manager, then to Director of School Based Programs. As Health & Wellness Manager, Veronica coordinated the Adolescents and Communities Together (ACT) project in partnership with Multnomah County Health Department, Planned Parenthood, NAYA, and SEI.She recently moved from Mexico where she worked at Católicas por el Derecho a Decidir (Catholics for the Right to Decide) in Mexico City, a women and youth sexual and reproductive rights organization. She has also implemented and evaluated youth sexual health programs in North Carolina and Guatemala. Veronica is passionate about every adolescent having the right to medically accurate sexual and reproductive health information delivered in a youth-friendly format.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Oregon, and a dual master’s degree in Social Work and Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Veronica is on the board of NARAL pro-choice Oregon. In her spare time, she likes to spend time with her sister and nephews, cycle, and cook.
