Latino Network is committed to ensuring all children are ready to learn and are able to realize their full potential. In partnership with Multnomah County Schools Uniting Neighborhoods (SUN), Latino Network provides culturally specific parent-child development services to secure early learning success for Latino parents and their children ages 0-5.
Latino Network’s parent educators implement the Parents as Teachers curriculum—a national evidence-based curriculum that promotes optimal early development, learning and health of children by supporting and engaging their parents and caregivers. This family-centered, strengths-based model provides annual health and developmental screenings and increases parent and caregiver understanding of:
Ways to support children socially and emotionally,
Positive discipline techniques,
How to connect with community resources, and
How to set and achieve family goals.
