Ximena joined Latino Network in 2015 as the Family Engagement Specialist with the Family & Youth Engagement Team. Since then she has moved to the CHI team as a CHI Early Intervention Coordinator.

Previously, Ximena has worked at the Portland Fruit Tree Project, Open Meadow Alternative Schools, and Oregon Council for Hispanic Advancement. She has devoted her professional life to facilitating connection, communication, and understanding between students, families, and the many systems that intersect in their lives.

Born in Cali, Colombia, Ximena studied Anthropology at the Universidad de los Andes in Bogota. She is currently studying to become a Women’s Herbalist. She volunteers as a mediator with Resolutions Northwest, and is part of the team facilitating Victim Offender Dialogues with the Multnomah County Juvenile Services Division.

In her spare time, she enjoys being married to her college sweetheart Trevor and mother of two kids Santiago and Paloma. She enjoys building Legos with them, reading, and cooking.
