Roles and responsibilities at Latino Network:

I work with 9th and 10th graders at Benson High School who are interested in exploring Latino culture and seek to build a Latino community at their school! I strive to be a supportive adult in my students lives and encourage them to continue being successful in school, help them discover what their next steps are, and provide the support and encouragement they need to pursue their dreams.

What motivates you to do this job at Latino Network?

I pursued this position with Latino Network because I remember how tough it was to be a Latino high school student and feel like no one was on my side. I wanted to be someone who made sure these students never felt the lack of support and guidance I felt as a high school student.

Interests and activities:

Hiking, running, basketball, soccer

Most proud achievement:

After failing to graduate high school with honors by half a credit, I promised myself I would graduate college with honors. Four years later, I graduated Cum Laude from the Honors College at my university, and I don't think I've ever been more proud of myself.
