Nancy Ramirez Arriaga

Nancy’s life calling to build on the capacity of people and organizations to create social change is rooted in her binational experience. She was born in Morelos, Mexico, and has lived in Oregon for over 20 years. Throughout her career in the non-profit sector she has designed, enhanced, and directed programs and initiatives that promote the leadership development, educational advancement, and health of the Latino community. Recognizing the interdependence of all communities to thrive, she has also consulted with many organizations and all levels of government to increase intercultural awareness and action, understand the impact of oppressive systems and behaviors, and design strategies to meaningfully engage people of all backgrounds in developing innovative sustainable solutions.
Nancy holds a Master of Arts in Leadership & Organizational Development from Saybrook University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Administration of Justice from Portland State University. She also studied at Universidad Latina de América in Morelia, Mexico, and received political training at Harvard University.
She loves music, travel, and above all, spending time with family, friends, and her dog Mambo.
