Recently transitioning from being our Early Childhood Program Manager to being our new Family Support Navigator, Antonio joined Latino Network in 2014 to work with the Transformative Youth Opportunities team as a Youth Coordinator. He previously ran the Leadership & Integration Program Manager, responsible for the Speak Up & Empower Leadership Academy, Bienvenidos ESL program, and the grassroots Academia de Líderes program.

Previously, he has worked for Immigrant Settlement Services in Vancouver, Canada; for the Mexican Consulate in Calgary as a liaison for the Seasonal Agricultural Workers Program; and for the Mexican Consulate in Portland for immigration issues. He is passionate about working with the Latino community to enhance the wellbeing of the community.

Originally from Mexico City, Antonio has also lived in Canada and the U.S. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). He also has a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of British Columbia. He is a registered & licensed social worker in British Columbia and Oregon.

In his spare time, Antonio enjoys reading about politics, enjoying international film festivals, and spending time with his family.
