Ana joined the Latino Network team in 2014 working with the Family & Youth Engagement programs. She leads the Colegio de Padres sessions and coordinates the Conexiones middle school afterschool programs. She feels blessed to be working at such a great organization that allows her to share her skills and knowledge with the community.

Previously, Ana worked at Chemeketa Community College in Salem as an Adjunct Instructor for Leadership Development and ABE/GED Spanish program.

Ana was born in Zacatecas, Mexico and also lived in Durango before moving to Los Angeles as a child. She’s still a city girl at heart. Her cultural roots, traditions, and customs are well grounded as a native Mexicana.

She graduated from Chemeketa College with an AAOT and from Western Oregon University with a B.A. and Masters in Education. She is currently completing a degree with SOU/Universidad Autonoma de Guanajuato for a MAT in Spanish Teaching. Though she struggled with school, she is proud to have completed her master’s degree in education.

Ana helps coordinate the Cesar E Chavez Leadership Conference Scholarship. In her spare time she likes to be physical active and likes running and going to the gym. She also loves spending time with her family.
